The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones drives through and clinches with Diaz against the cage.

Jones has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Diaz clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Diaz tries to escape but Jones has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Diaz covers up after that shot from Jones.
Diaz is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Jones.
Jones has the hooks in. Diaz is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Diaz is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Jones.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones is landing with strikes from the back.
Jones cracks Diaz with a big right hand from the back mount! Diaz immediately covers up and the referee dives in to save him under a barrage of more strikes! Jones takes this one by TKO!

After winning the bout, Basty Jones thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
