Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jacinto Cox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Holy Cow!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cow swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Cox clinches up against the cage.

Cow breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Cow drives through with a takedown into guard.

Cox is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Cow presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Cow decides to pull guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cow is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Cow really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cox. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cow is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cox is controlling him.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cox accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Cox stands and steps away. Cow gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Cow throws a head kick that misses.
Cox quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Cox showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cow.

Cow drives through with a takedown into Cox's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Cox manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Cow is trying to break the clinch but Cox is controlling him.

Cow tightens his grip and picks Cox up, before dumping him to the ground. Cox manages to land in guard.
Cox looking for a sweep. Not yet Cox, not yet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cow avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cow lands a couple of elbows.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cox lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Cox throwing strikes but missing.
Cow is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Cox dives into side control.

Cox is trying to get an arm triangle but Cow is defending well.
Cow tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Cox working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

Cox has his arm under Cow's chin here. Game over son! Cox squeezes tightly and Cow is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jacinto Cox!
