Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ethan Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nguyen Hoang Minh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Ethan Davidson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Nguyen Hoang Minh!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Minh.
Davidson misses the shot to the body.
Minh looks to throw a body kick
and Davidson counters with a left to the body.
Minh looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Minh shoots in but Davidson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Minh throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Minh shoots in looking for a takedown but Davidson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Minh's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Davidson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Davidson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Davidson postures up in Minh's guard and throws a big left but Minh blocks it.
Davidson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Horrible takedown attempt by Minh or perhaps it was just good defense by Davidson, which made it look bad.
Ethan Davidson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nguyen Hoang Minh.
Davidson clinches up with Minh and pushes him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Davidson breaks the clinch.
Minh shoots for a takedown but Davidson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Davidson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Minh shoots in for a takedown but Davidson shows good takedown defense.
Davidson avoids the head kick by Minh.
Minh tries to clinch up.
Minh closes the distance looking to clinch
and Davidson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Minh throws a body kick that misses
and Davidson counters with a left to the body.
Davidson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Minh is trying to pull guard but Davidson turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Davidson avoiding damage as Minh throws knees to the body.
Davidson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Minh shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Minh showed some decent athleticism there.
Minh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davidson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Davidson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Minh's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Minh's back!
Minh looks winded!
A bit of a pause in the action here. Davidson controlling the positon.
Minh trying to control the action but Davidson just sinks the hooks in.
Davidson really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Minh.
Minh fending off the submission attempt from Davidson.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Davidson is riding his opponent, not letting Minh buck him off.
Minh tries to roll but Davidson sticks to his back.
Minh is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Davidson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Davidson has managed to slip his arm under Minh's chin. This could be all over... yep, Minh is tapping out! Submission win for Davidson.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ethan Davidson!
