Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Justin Dime! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Detroit Racer! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Racer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Racer moves into range and clinches up with Dime. Dime lands with a right to the head. Racer tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. A head punch on the inside from Racer fails to land. Dime is defending well against a takedown attempt. Racer misses with a short punch on the inside. Dime lands with a short head shot on the inside. Dime lands with a light punch inside. Dime misses with the head strike.
Racer throws a punch but it's blocked by Dime. Dime lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Dime stalling against the cage.
Dime blocks a body shot from Racer. Dime working some nice short punches in the clinch. Racer's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Racer blocks a punch to the side of the head.

A head punch on the inside from Dime fails to land. Racer swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Racer swings wildly with an uppercut but Dime uses good head movement to avoid it. Dime tries to work over Racer's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Dime lands an uppercut. Racer tries for a takedown. No joy.

Still in the clinch, Dime scores with a nice short uppercut. Racer drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Dime gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Dime is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Maybe Dime would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much. Dime blocks an uppercut.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Dime is pressed up against the cage. Racer has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dime down to the mat. Dime avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Dime lunges at Racer with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Racer's hand. A swing and a miss from Dime. Donk. Dime catches Racer right on the button with a cross. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Racer circles away from the clinch attempt.
Racer throws a hook but Dime avoids it easily. Racer throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Dime with a jab. A telegraphed right hand from Dime misses the target. Dime throws a poor cross that misses
and Racer counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Dime avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Racer. Racer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Dime won't allow Racer to pass to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Racer thows a huge punch but Dime dodges it nicely.
Racer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Racer is trying to control. Dime wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Justin Dime dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Dime scores with a jab to the body. A swing and a miss from Dime. Dime misses with a body shot.
A shot to the body from Dime misses and Racer counters with a nice uppercut. Dime feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Racers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Dime jabs Racer right on the nose. Racer blinks but takes it well. Racer shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Racer throws a shot from downtown. Dime moves away and avoids it. Justin Dime seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dime looks to land a left hand but Racer moved out of range nicely. Racer misses with a right hand and Dime counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Racer ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Dime takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Racer takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Racer throws the left hand but Dime avoids the punch easily. Racer throws a series of punches but Dime moves out of range. Dime moves out of range as Racer strikes. Dime scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Dime misses with an uppercut. Racer saw that one coming. Dime clobbers Racer with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Racer bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Racer changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Racer throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Dime to counter with a crisp jab.
Racer is rocked! Dime misses with a body shot.
Dime avoids the body shot from Racer.
Dime throws a hook but Racer blocks it. Racer is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. A big left from Racer misses. Racer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dime, pushing him back against the cage. Racer is trying to trip Dime. He has hold of a leg but Dime is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Racer persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Dime knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Racer on the ground. Dime working a defensive guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Racer forces his way into half guard. Dime is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Racer can do to turn this around? Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Racer controlling the action here. Racer winds up and cracks Dime with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Nice strikes from Racer there. Dime is looking for a sweep. Racer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Dime trying to control from the bottom.
Racer is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Racer landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Racer prevents Dime from improving his position. Dime has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Racer lands strikes from half guard. Racer is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Racer lands with a punch from half guard. Racer throwing shots but Dime is blocking nicely. Racer with the ground and pound but Dime uses the opportunity to regain guard. Racer throwing strikes but missing. Racer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dime is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Racer is working Dime over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Racer scoring with punches to the head and body. Dime keeping moving, preventing Racer from controlling successfully. That was a close second round but I would say that Justin Dime will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

and Dime connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Racer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Racer has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dime finds it's way round the side to connect with Racer's head. Dime slips under a jab. Dime swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Racer. Justin Dime is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Racer lunges at Dime with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Dime's hand. Racer misses with a low kick.
Dime looks to score with a jab to the body but Racer is just out of range. Racer throws an overhand right that lands on Dime's shoulder, as Dime tries to avoid the shot. Dime is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Racer. Racer only half commits to the counter leg kick. Dime moves out of range as Racer strikes. Racer closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dime did well to prevent Racer getting side control. Racer wants to pass to mount but Dime is defending the position. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Racer working his ground and pound in the gym. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Racer working over Dime with some ground and pound. Dime looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ground and pound from Racer. Racer throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Racer is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Racer sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Dime defending well though. Nice strikes from Racer there. Racer lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Racer lands a nice short elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Racer wants to take a breather but Dime is having none of it. Racer is thwarting Dime's attempts to control the position. Racer throwing shots but Dime is blocking nicely. Racer trying to control the action but Dime is working from the bottom. Racer is figuring out what he wants to do next. Racer is keen to just control but Dime is a slippery customer. Racer drops an elbow to the side of Dime's head. Racer scoring with strikes to the body and head. Detroit Racer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Racer not landing any meaningful shots this time. Racer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dime with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Justin Dime is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Nice strikes from Racer there. Racer scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Racer thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dime's head. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Racer connects with a nice short shot to Dime's temple. Dime is looking for a sweep. Racer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Racer drops an elbow to the side of Dime's head. Dime keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Racer sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Dime defending well though. Dime has hold of Racer's hands but Racer slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
And that's the end of the fight! Detroit Racer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Dime has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
