Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jay Kush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joshua Redding (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kush kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is PUFF HARDER. Redding has chosen Alive as his entrance music. Jay Kush has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jay Kush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joshua Redding!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kush avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kush is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Redding swings widly with a right hand
and Redding takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Redding pushes Kush away with a front kick.
Kush looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Redding keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Redding looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Kush is looking to control Redding's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kush avoid being mounted?
Kush is trying to escape back to his feet but Redding uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Redding sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Kush is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Redding working the ground and pound.
Redding lands an elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Redding wants to control but Kush is keeping him busy.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kush wants to get back to his feet.
Redding looks up at the clock and then as Kush takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Redding smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
My spies in $1000 Crouching Stoner Hidden Ground Game inform me that Redding has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Redding wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kush keeps working.

Redding tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Redding has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Kush is trying to get back to half guard.
Redding taking a break here but Kush is having none of it and regains half guard.
Redding is trying to control. Kush wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Redding lands with a punch from half guard.
Redding lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Kush actively working from the bottom here.
Kush blocking the ground and pound attempt from Redding.
Redding is nestled in close to Kush, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Redding missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Kush is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Redding pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kush has hold of Redding's hands but Redding slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Redding content to control rather than advance.
Redding lands strikes from half guard.
Redding working over Kush with some ground and pound. Kush looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Kush looking for submissions off his back.
Kush tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Redding manages to move to mount!
Kush is trying to escape the mount.
Redding tries to control but Kush wriggling away.
You get the feeling that Kush really doesn't like being in this position too much.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Redding looking to finish Kush with some ground and pound. This is bad for Kush!
Kush is desperately trying to improve his position but Redding has a good base and remains in mount.
Redding lands a big elbow.
Redding unloading with bombs!
Redding landing strikes from the mount.


Kush is rocked!
A big strike lands for Redding! That's really hurt Kush and he's turned his back - Redding keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Redding jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
