Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hatfield McCoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elijah David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCoy kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Dueling Banjos. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCoy throws a solid leg kick but David takes the impact on his shin and smiles at McCoy.
David misses with a straight left.
David falls off balance throwing a combination
and David takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
David looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
David on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by McCoy. McCoy obviously looking to wear him down.
David checks the leg kick.
David moves out of range as McCoy throws a body kick.
McCoy throws a head kick but David moves out of range.
A countering left hand to the body from David misses.
A cross from McCoy lands.
David closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. McCoy quickly recovers to half guard.
McCoy manages to escape and get back to his feet!

David shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. David connects with a nice short shot to McCoy's temple.
McCoy is trying to defend against the ground and pound but David scores with a couple of nice shots.
McCoy is staying active underneath David, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

McCoy is looking for a sweep. David is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
David wants to lay and pray for a moment but McCoy keeps working.
David thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McCoy's head.
McCoy is looking to improve his position.
McCoy wants to control but David is keeping busy.
David is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
David is thwarting McCoy's attempts to control the position.
David landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
McCoy throws a chopping leg kick but David manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
David lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
David comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
David blocks a head kick by McCoy.
David throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
David doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
McCoy lands with a nice body punch.
David thuds his right hand into McCoy's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
McCoy moves out of range as David strikes.
David lands a nice looking body shot.
McCoy gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

David throws an elbow that misses. McCoy uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in David's guard. Nice move by McCoy!
McCoy controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

David bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McCoy's guard.

David looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks McCoy with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
David wants to pass the guard but McCoy is defending well.
David passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for McCoy!
David lands a nice shot to the head.
David fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
David landing punches.
McCoy is rocked!
David lands a big shot to the head and McCoy winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
