Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Franky French (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Chretien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chretien has chosen Oh Canada as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Franky French! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Chretien! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! French gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Chretien looking for a takedown. A nice right hand lands inside from French. Chretien tries to pull guard but French holds him up against the cage and eventually Chretien drops back down to his feet.
French lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. French is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Chretien is keeping busy. French working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Chretien is working for takedown but French is calmly controlling the position for now. Franky French has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jean Chretien. French presses Chretien against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Chretien tries to pull guard but French holds him up against the cage and eventually Chretien drops back down to his feet.
French wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Chretien has him pressed against the cage. French breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A big head kick from French and Chretien is sent sprawling to the canvas!
Chretien is rocked!
It looks like Jean Chretien has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chretien is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Chretien is still in real trouble! Can French finish him?
That's one minute gone in the round. Chretien wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Chretien seems to have recovered his senses. French tries to stand but Chretien is controlling from the bottom. Chretien looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Chretien looks gassed! Chretien had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. French is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Chretien Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take French's back instead. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. French controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. French is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Chretien off. It looks like it's working - Chretien slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! French displaying calm under pressure there. French throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chretien shoots for a takedown but French saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. French drops Chretien with a nice combination! French dives into Chretien's guard, looking to finish!
French is looking to stand up but Chretien won't let him. French stands up from guard. Let's bang! French instigates a clinch. A short uppercut from French. French softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. French works on Chretien's body with a couple of short punches. French breaks the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. French gets in close and instigates a clinch. French landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Chretien misses with a takedown attempt - French sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. French throws a sloppy head kick and Chretien moves out of range easily. Chretien takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. French tests Chretien's chin there with a solid looking shot. Franky French seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. French lands with a slapping head kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Franky French dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jean Chretien's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
French lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Chretien sprawling to the canvas. French follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Chretien hang on? Chretien is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Chretien wants to sweep but French has passed to side control! French has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. French closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. French throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Chretiens head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. A quick uppercut on the inside from French. French gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Chretien.

Chretien goes for a takedown in the clinch but French prevents it.
French makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Chretien tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. French smiles and moves away.
Franky French has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jean Chretien. French misses with a head kick.
Franky French is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. French lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chretien circles away quickly and effectively. French is looking to take this fight into the clinch. French tries to clinch up. Chretien fails miserably with a takedown attempt. French goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

That has opened up Jean Chretien's cut even more. Chretien is looking to control French's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Chretien avoid being mounted? Chretien trying to get back to full guard but French takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! French get's back to his feet. Nice shot lands for French. French is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Chretien can do to turn this around?
That's four minutes gone in the round. French moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. French tries to close the distance and clinch but Chretien swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Chretien blocks a head kick by French.
French is looking to clinch but Chretien is avoiding it.
French throws a series of punches but Chretien moves out of range. Chretien shoots in but no luck this time. French takes the fight into the clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Chretien prevents French from breaking the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Franky French dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Jean Chretien's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Chretien fails to land the takedown. French looks to land a combination but Chretien avoids it well. The fight stays on the outside here - French looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Chretien keeps the fight on the outside. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. French drops Chretien with a left right combo! French follows him down to the ground into side control.
Chretien can't do much from the bottom here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are breathing heavily. French gets to mount! Chretien was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chretien wants to hold on but French pushes him away. Chretien might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control French kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. French stands up from mount. Strange move. French wants to clinch. French tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. French lands with a thumping leg kick.
A jab-cross combination lands for French and sends Chretien crashing to the mat! French follows him down to the mat - Chretien regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet! Chretien wants to improve his position but French is controlling well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Chretien wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. I would not like to be Chretien right now.
French avoiding Chretien 's attempts to control his hands. A bit of a pause in the action here. French controlling the positon.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Chretien rolls, trying to escape but French keeps control of the position.
Jean Chretien has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Chretien breaks French's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Chretien must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Chretien wants to pass the guard but French is keeping the position. Chretien won't allow French to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Franky French showed his dominance in that final round. Well French has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
