The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson closes the distance and clinches.

Jackson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Gilbert clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Gilbert is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Jackson lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.

What can Gilbert do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Gilbert really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jackson looking to break Gilbert's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Gilbert remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Jackson will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Gilbert tries to escape but Jackson has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gilbert wants to control his opponent's hands but Jackson gets his hands free.
Gilbert rolls, trying to escape but Jackson keeps control of the position.
