Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gregg Willis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raj Taj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raj Taj has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gregg Willis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Raj Taj! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Willis keeps the fight on the outside. Willis tries to sprawl but Taj drives through with a takedown into half guard. Willis taking some punishment here, with Taj in his half guard. Still in half guard, Taj seems content to control. Taj is keen to just control but Willis is a slippery customer. Taj tries to pass the half guard into mount. Willis knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Taj perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Taj is trying to control the action in half guard but Willis is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Taj wants to pass to mount but Willis is defending the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taj is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Willis doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Taj. Willis wants to improve his position but Taj is controlling well.

Taj got a little sloppy there for a moment and Willis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Taj has managed to get both his arms back between Willis's legs - danger averted. Taj looking to pass the guard. Willis keeping moving, preventing Taj from controlling successfully. Willis looking for a sweep. Not yet Willis, not yet. Willis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Taj loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Taj's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Willis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Taj wants to control from the top but Willis keeps moving. Willis scores with a short punch from the bottom. Taj showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Taj must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Willis wants to stand up but Taj is controlling him. Taj controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Willis preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Taj trying to control but Willis is working from the bottom. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Taj trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Taj stops Willis from standing up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Willis looks for a takedown but Taj sprawls well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taj gets a double leg takedown into Willis's guard. Willis is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Taj is controlling him. Taj postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Willis tries to strike from the bottom.
Taj wants to stand but Willis has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Willis not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Willis avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Willis looking to control but Taj passes into half guard.
Willis tries to get to full guard but Taj has control of the leg. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Willis wants to get back to his feet.
Taj wants to pass the guard but Willis is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Willis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Willis looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Taj prevents Willis from improving his position. Taj trying to control from half guard but Willis is working away. Taj moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Willis. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Willis throws Taj to one side and escapes! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Taj drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Willis sneaks out the side door and pushes Taj away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Willis has a takedown stuffed. Taj shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Willis is trying to defend but Taj finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Willis tries to kick Taj off but Taj keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Willis is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Taj's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Taj's back! Willis is riding his opponent, not letting Taj buck him off. Taj fending off the submission attempt from Willis. Taj is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Gregg Willis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Taj trying to control the action but Willis just sinks the hooks in. Taj tries to break free.
Taj is breathing heavily. Willis looking for the choke from the back. Willis is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Taj is defending well though. Willis let's go of the attempt for now. Taj breaks Willis's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Willis has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Taj has passed into side control.
You can see the frustration on Willis's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Taj is looking to take a break and control but Willis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Taj stands up and beckons Willis to his feet. Taj is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Willis's half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Willis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Taj is working away from the top position though. Willis makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Taj misses with a low kick. Willis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Taj closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Willis's guard. Willis kicks Taj off and gets to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Willis throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Taj on the side of the head. Taj drives through with a takedown into guard. Willis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Taj is looking to control Willis's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Taj avoid being mounted? Willis seems to be working for a kimura but Taj defends the submission attempt. Taj is trying to get back to full guard. Willis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Taj is just riding it out for now. Willis eventually gives up the hold. Willis is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Willis stalling. Taj looks like he's trying to stand up.
Taj looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Willis is taking a breather. Taj says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gregg Willis dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Taj misses with the body kick and Willis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Willis is defended easily by Taj. Taj looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Willis! Willis bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Willis throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Taj closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Willis tries to improve position but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taj has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Taj takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Taj shoots in and bounces Willis off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Willis is looking to stand up but Taj isn't so interested in that idea. Taj would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Taj stopping the sweep attempt from Willis. Willis thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Willis manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Taj manages to pull guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Willis lands a couple of digs. Taj not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Willis stands up from guard. Let's bang! Willis clinches with his opponent.
Willis wants the takedown. Taj is fighting it off but Willis persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Taj's guard against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Willis lands a couple of elbows. Willis is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Willis prevents Taj from getting back to his feet. Willis showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Willis seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Taj for as long as he can get away with.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Willis distracts Taj with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Willis preventing the sweep. Willis showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Taj throws a left and a right that both miss
and Willis counters with a one-two to the body. Willis takes the fight into the clinch. Taj gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Willis keeping moving, preventing Taj from controlling successfully. Willis is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Willis wants to sweep but no luck. Willis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Taj defends it easily. Taj trying to control but Willis is working from the bottom. Taj avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Willis lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Taj is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Gregg Willis showed his dominance in that final round. Well Willis has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
