Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Breeze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward McLauglin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McLauglin is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by You Belong To The City. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ben Breeze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Edward McLauglin!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good standup being displayed there by Breeze as he connects with a hook.


It looks like Edward McLauglin has been cut.
The fight stays on the outside here - McLauglin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
McLauglin digs a good hook to Breeze's body.
Breeze looks for a takedown but McLauglin sprawls well.
Breeze slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
McLauglin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Breeze takes one on the button.
Breeze shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and McLauglin counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Breeze goes for a takedown in the clinch but McLauglin prevents it.

Breeze has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by McLauglin after a bit of a struggle.
Breeze is trying to drag McLauglin to the mat but McLauglin just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Breeze jumps guard but McLauglin turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

McLauglin is pushing Breeze up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Breeze is looking for a takedown.

McLauglin throws a head punch that misses.
McLauglin tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Breeze avoids it.

Breeze successfully pulls guard.
Breeze trying to keep a closed guard but McLauglin is proving a slippery customer.
McLauglin throws a big right hand that misses.
McLauglin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Breeze works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
McLauglin wants to stand but Breeze has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
McLauglin trying to control the position from guard on top but Breeze is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Breeze working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McLauglin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McLauglin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
McLauglin lands a couple of decent looking shots.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McLauglin wants to control from the top but Breeze keeps moving.

Breeze is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. McLauglin is aware though and is defending well.

Breeze looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Breeze is looking for a triangle but McLauglin pushes his legs off easily.
McLauglin makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
McLauglin told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Breeze controls McLauglin momentarily but McLauglin frees himself.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Breeze working for submissions but it's allowed McLauglin to get to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McLauglin missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Breeze flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
McLauglin is controlling the pace.
Breeze is not content to let McLauglin control the position.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

McLauglin wants to clinch up but Breeze keeps it at a distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - McLauglin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from McLauglin.
McLauglin connects with a jab.
Some wild striking there from Breeze.
Ben Breeze is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
McLauglin takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Breeze tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Breeze tries to bum rush McLauglin with a series of wild strikes but McLauglin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Breeze misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Breeze fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McLauglin avoids it really well and circles away.

McLauglin moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
McLauglin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Breeze.
Breeze darts in looking for a takedown but McLauglin gets double underhooks and turns Breeze into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ben Breeze. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A shot to the body from Breeze misses
and McLauglin counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Ben Breeze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

McLauglin catches Breeze napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Breeze to the canvas!


Breeze is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McLauglin wants to control from the top but Breeze keeps moving.
Oh Breeze is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

McLauglin has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

McLauglin stands up from Breeze's guard - McLauglin perhaps looking for a knockout.
Breeze seems to have got his legs back now.
McLauglin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Breeze paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and McLauglin counters with a slapping leg kick.
McLauglin connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
McLauglin lands with a good body shot.
Edward McLauglin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McLauglin takes a swing at Breeze's ribcage but misses.
Breeze takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Breeze gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! McLauglin gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Breeze is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Edward McLauglin!
Edward McLauglin gave a mention to Perkele! in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
