3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nathaniel Hancock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ivor Biggen! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Biggen looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Biggen misses with a series of wild punches.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Biggen. Hancock could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Hancock tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hancock tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Biggen easily slips into full mount! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hancock throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Hancock just holding on.
That's one minute gone in the round. Biggen tries to control but Hancock wriggling away. Hancock might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hancock holds on, trying desperately to control. Biggen lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Hancock is in all sorts of trouble here.
Hancock tries to lock up and control but Biggen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hancock throws some wild strikes from the bottom. Biggen wants to control the pace but Hancock is squirming around nicely. Biggen moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Hancock has worked his arm free - good work by Hancock!
Hancock can't do much from the bottom here. Biggen has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Hancock takes one on the chin but seems OK.
It looks like Nathaniel Hancock has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Biggen lands a two punch combo.
Biggen drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Hancock is trying to keep Biggen in close.
Hancock is trying to hold Biggen in close to prevent damage but Biggen has managed to pass into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hancock looking for submissions off his back. Biggen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hancock keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hancock regains full guard. Nicely done. Hancock not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hancock looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Biggen is defending well. Hancock quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Biggen has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Hancock celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
