PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keith Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maurice Vachon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vachon has chosen Mad Dog Tribute as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Keith Bishop!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Maurice Vachon!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bishop bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Vachon's head.


It looks like Maurice Vachon has been cut.
Vachon looks to land a right hand but Bishop moved out of range.
Vachon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bishop was well out of range. Poor timing from Vachon.
It looked like Bishop was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Vachon.

and Bishop counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Vachon feints and as Bishop raises his hands in defense, Vachon changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Vachon throws a strike but Bishop rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Vachon has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at True North Fight Team. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Vachon shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bishop napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Bishop lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
