Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Adams!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Vos!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams lands a slapping body shot.
James Adams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Adams misses with a hook. Vos ducked under it nicely.
Adams keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.


It looks like Tom Vos has been cut.
Adams pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Vos throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Adams throws a big shot that misses.
Adams throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vos sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Vos has a takedown stuffed.
Adams staying out of range there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Adams ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Adams jabs Vos right on the nose. Vos blinks but takes it well.
Adams lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Vos takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Adams throws a hook to the side of Vos's head but Vos sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Vos tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Adams punishes Vos's body with a nice straight punch.
Adams wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Vos uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Adams.
Vos drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Adams defends it well.
Vos slips a jab from Adams.
Adams misses with an uppercut.
A telegraphed right hand from Vos misses the target.

Vos gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Adams fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Adams pushes Vos back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Adams lands a big right hand that drops Vos! The killer instinct kicks in and Adams finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Adams!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Adams!
James Adams retains his light heavyweight title!
James Adams really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that KnockOut logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
