Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Ellis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, White McNuggets!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellis digs a good body shot into McNuggets's ribs.
Ellis misses with an uppercut.
McNuggets is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Ellis throws a hook but McNuggets avoids it easily.
Ellis drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
McNuggets uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ellis.
McNuggets moves out of range of the strikes.
McNuggets changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Ellis throws a lazy body kick
and McNuggets counters with a nice uppercut.
Ellis uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before McNuggets has time to react.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ellis. McNuggets does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ellis is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McNuggets.

Let's hope that McNuggets has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yet more stalling tactics from McNuggets.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Ellis misses with a left hand

and McNuggets counters with a takedown into side control.
McNuggets is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McNuggets tries for a kimura but Ellis is defending well.

McNuggets is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Ellis will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Ellis wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

McNuggets is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Ellis's shoulder. That is not cool.
White McNuggets has got the better of the ground game so far.

Ellis is working to avoid the ground and pound but McNuggets connects with a decent elbow.
McNuggets cracks Ellis with a big elbow.
You can see the frustration on Ellis's face as McNuggets controls the position.
Ellis pushes McNuggets away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, McNuggets gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Ellis tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
McNuggets slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Ellis is trying to get back to his feet but McNuggets has full control of the position and if anything, Ellis has just worked his way into a worse spot.

McNuggets's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
