The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Laponov tried to score with a low kick but Tuncer checks it.
Tuncer throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Laponov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tuncer's guard.

Tuncer wants to stand and escape but Laponov is having none of it.

Laponov prevents Tuncer from getting back to his feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Tuncer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tuncer wants it to stay on the feet.

Laponov shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tuncer napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Tuncer is looking to get back to his feet here but Laponov is keeping cool and he's managed to take Tuncer's back.

Laponov is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Tuncer has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
