Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Minowa Fujiati (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vesa Asikainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Minowa Fujiati! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Vesa Asikainen! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Asikainen shoots in and drives through. Fujiati sprawls well. Asikainen shoots in but Fujiati avoids the takedown attempt easily. Horrible takedown attempt by Asikainen or perhaps it was just good defense by Fujiati, which made it look bad. Minowa Fujiati has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vesa Asikainen. Asikainen has his takedown stuffed and Fujiati counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Fujiati is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Fujiati wants to pass the guard but Asikainen is defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fujiati wants to work for an arm triangle but Asikainen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Fujiati winds up and cracks Asikainen with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Asikainen is trying to stand.

Asikainen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fujiati. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Asikainen is staying active underneath Fujiati, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Asikainen makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Asikainen. Fujiati loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Fujiati sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Asikainen's guard. Fujiati seems to be looking for submissions.
Asikainen on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Asikainen wants to get back to his feet. Fujiati is just content to waste time from the top position. Asikainen takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Fujiati has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fujiati postures up in Asikainen's guard and throws a big left but Asikainen blocks it. Fujiati drops back, looking for a kneebar! Asikainen looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Asikainen looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Asikainen!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Fujiati manages to work his way to half guard, despite Asikainen's best efforts. Asikainen trying to pass the guard but Fujiati defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Fujiati moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Fujiati bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Asikainen's guard. Fujiati chips away with some ground and pound. Fujiati keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Asikainen's head. Fujiati content to stall in guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fujiati working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Asikainen's head. Fujiati with a nice head shot there. Fujiati with a flurry of punches that miss. Fujiati wants to pass the guard but Asikainen is keeping the position. Fujiati trying to control but Asikainen is working from the bottom. Fujiati keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Asikainen's head. Fujiati working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Asikainen's head. Fujiati throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Asikainen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fujiati postures up and lands a big shot to Asikainen's brow. Fujiati trying to control the position from guard on top but Asikainen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Asikainen controls Fujiati momentarily but Fujiati frees himself. Fujiati passes Asikainen's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Asikainen pushes Fujiati off looking to stand but Fujiati dives back in and keeps control.
Fujiati lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Fujiati lands a nice short elbow. Fujiati winds up and cracks Asikainen with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Asikainen is looking for a sweep. Fujiati is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Fujiati connects with a nice short shot to Asikainen's temple.
Asikainen is rocked! Fujiati creates some space for himself and unloads with a monster right hand! That one landed with a sickening thud - Asikainen is out cold and this one is all over! Fujiati climbs onto the cage to celebrate with his corner!! He's shouting something into the camera but he's still got his mouthpiece in so God knows what he's actually saying.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Minowa Fujiati! Minowa Fujiati opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
