Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mitch Pace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaycen Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mitch Pace! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jaycen Williams! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pace. Pace really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Williams fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pace sprawls well initially but Williams persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Williams blocks the strikes from Pace.
Pace is pressing down on Williams's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Williams trying to control but Pace is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pace trying to control the position.
Williams throwing strikes but missing. Pace trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pace looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Williams wants to control from the top but Pace keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pace looking for a sweep. Not yet Pace, not yet. Williams postures up and lands a big shot to Pace's brow. Pace trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Pace wants to sweep here but Williams controlling him for the moment. Pace keeping full guard, as Williams tries to pass. Williams preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pace is on top in guard.
Williams is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Williams might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Pace haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Pace landing with the ground and pound. Pace has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Williams has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Pace is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Williams. Williams is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams looks winded! Pace lands a nice forearm strike. Pace lands a few punches from side control. Pace scores with a couple of short elbows. Pace is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Williams will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Pace is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Williams knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pace in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Williams taking a bit of punishment here - Pace scoring with strikes. Williams tries to bench press Pace off him but Pace keeps the position. Pace landing a few strikes. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Williams is working to avoid the ground and pound but Pace connects with a decent elbow. Williams is trying to get back to half guard. Pace is working Williams over with some ground and pound from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mitch Pace dominated that round. That's time! Pace's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Pace darts in and clinches Williams up against the cage. Williams looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Williams gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Williams is keen to just control but Pace is a slippery customer. Pace flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Williams lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Pace is looking to improve his position.

Pace looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Williams puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Pace gets full guard. Pace controls Williams momentarily but Williams frees himself. Pace looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Pace can't keep his opponent in guard - Williams advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Williams is trying to control the action in half guard but Pace is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Pace looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pace moves into full guard.
Williams wants to control from the top but Pace keeps moving. Pace bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Williams's guard.
Pace is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Williams can do to turn this around? Pace sitting in guard here, content to control. Pace lands a couple of elbows. Williams had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pace defends it easily. Pace will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Pace's corner is telling him to maintain position. Mitch Pace overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pace is in close to Williams's body, working some short punches and elbows. Pace is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Pace postures up and lands a big shot to Williams's brow. Pace lands a couple of digs. Williams keeping moving, preventing Pace from controlling successfully. Pace with a nice head shot there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Pace slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Pace scoring with some ground and pound. Pace scoring with punches to the head and body. Pace lands a couple of elbows. Pace scoring with punches to the head and body. Pace stands up over Williams, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Pace trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Pace content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mitch Pace dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Pace moves into the clinch. Williams is trying to push Pace away but Pace has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Pace jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Williams walks away with a smile on his face. Pace gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Williams throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pace was covering up waiting for the punch and Williams finishes the takedown easily into guard. Williams cracks Pace with a solid left hand. Pace doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Pace seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Williams keeping moving, preventing Pace from controlling successfully. Pace showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Williams looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Pace gets full guard. Pace will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Jaycen Williams has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mitch Pace is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Pace with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mitch Pace. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pace, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
