Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Long!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Guiness Stout!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Long tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Long gets caught flat footed, as Stout shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Long throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Stout wants to pass the guard but Long is keeping the position.
Stout trying to control but Long is working from the bottom.
Stout looking to sit in guard and control but Long gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Stout utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Stout keeps the fight on the outside.

Stout has closed the distance and engaged Long in a clinch.
Long lands a nice elbow from the clinch.


It looks like Guiness Stout has been cut.
Long throws a knee to the head but misses.
Stout is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Long gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Stout wants to get back to striking at distance but Long won't allow it.
Long connects with a nasty looking knee right to Stout's face.

Long unloads a knee to the mid-section. Stout lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Stout misses with a hook from the clinch.
Long avoids the elbow strike from Stout, against the cage.

Stout is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Long can't fight it off and eventually Stout manages to take the fight to the floor. Long looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Long doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Stout wants to control from the top but Long keeps moving.

Stout stands up and waves to Long to follow him.
Long tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Stout decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Long's guard.

Long trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Long will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Stout stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Long swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Stout wants to control from the top but Long keeps moving.
Long thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Stout throwing strikes from guard but Long blocks nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Guiness Stout will probably get the nod.

Long wants to clinch but Stout slips to the side

and Stout counters with a single leg into guard. Long didn't expect that.
Stout wants to stand but Long has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stout throws a strike but Long rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Long pushes down on Stout's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Stout keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Long tries to stand and escape but Stout is controlling the position.
Stout tries to get to full guard but Long has control of the leg.
Long passes into side control, despite Stout's attempt to control the position.
Long wants to stand but Stout has his arm trapped.
Stout wants to control but Long postures up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stout can do anything to dispel that myth.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Stout is looking to reverse the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Stout gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Long lands a knee to the head.
Long connects with a nasty looking knee right to Stout's face.

Stout jumps guard.

Stout has his foot on Long's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Long works his way back into a safe position though.

Stout looking for subs off his back but Long has passed one foot through into half guard.

Stout is trying to stand back up but Long is controlling him

Long is working for a kimura but Stout is defending it quite comfortably.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Stout is looking for a sweep. Long is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Stout is trying to stand.
Long seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Guiness Stout showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Stout shoots in and bounces Long off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Stout pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Long is keeping the position for now.

Guiness Stout is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Stout is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
