Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Farson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Audet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Audet! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Audet darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Audet tries to pass to full mount but Farson defends it. Audet not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Audet in particular looking to stall. Farson is trying to stand.
Farson is doing well to control the position and prevent Audet from advancing to side control. Audet seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's one minute gone in the round. Audet seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Farson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Audet feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Farson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Audet is working Farson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Audet trying to control but Farson is working from the bottom. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Farson tries to get out of the position. Farson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Audet controls the pace. Farson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Audet shoots in for a double leg but Farson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Audet swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Farson wants to clinch up but Audet keeps it at a distance. Farson moves in looking to clinch but Audet pushes him off. An inside leg kick from Audet misses. Audet changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Farson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Audet looks gassed! Audet trying to control the position but Farson is working away. Farson wants to control but Audet postures up. Farson is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Audet has just dragged him back down to the mat. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Audet is trying to ground and pound but Farson uses the momentary lack of control by Audet to regain half guard. Audet stalling away here and it's allowed Farson to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Farson could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Farson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Audet wants to control from the top but Farson keeps moving. Farson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Farson pulls Audet in close to his closed guard and prevents Audet from doing any damage or advancing position. Audet must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Farson wants to get back to his feet but Audet is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Audet is pushing down on Farson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Farson is fighting to maintain full guard but Audet has managed to sneak the leg through. Farson gets full guard. Audet is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Farson has his feet on Audet's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

That was a close second round but I would say that John Farson will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Audet gets the takedown into side control. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Audet. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Audet in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Audet looking to control but instead Farson has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Audet passes to side control. Farson can't do much from the bottom here. Audet prevents Farson from escaping the position. Audet takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Farson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Farson avoids a series of strikes thrown by Audet.
Farson is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Farson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Farson pushes Audet off looking to stand but Audet dives back in and keeps control.
Farson is refusing to be controlled, as Audet sits in half guard. Farson regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Audet. Audet missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Farson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Audet doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Audet manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Audet trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Audet loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Farson working a defensive guard here.
