Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rosco Grouch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Van Richters!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richters takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Richters fails in his attempt to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Richters looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Richters tries to close the distance and clinch but Grouch swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Grouch misses with a kick to the body.
Grouch takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Grouch gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Grouch lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Richters misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Richters swings wildly with an uppercut but Grouch uses good head movement to avoid it.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Grouch.
Richters struggles to land a body shot inside as Grouch controls his hands.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Grouch digs a right hand into Richters's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Richters's gas tank.
Still in the clinch, Grouch scores with a nice short uppercut.

Grouch stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Grouch pushes Richters back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Grouch lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Richters or not.
Richters takes a shot to the head.
Grouch throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Richters has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Grouch seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Richters can turn it around.
Grouch creates a bit of distance and cracks Richters with a big uppercut! Richters goes down! The referee pushes Grouch away into a neutral corner and starts the count. 4,5,6,7. Will Richters make it up in time? He's still flopping around all over the place! The referee has called off the fight! Grouch takes it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Rosco Grouch!
