The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gardner is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pearson.
Pearson has Gardner up against the cage in a clinch.
Pearson lands with a light punch inside.
Pearson throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Pearson lands a nice uppercut.
Pearson is pressed up against the cage. Gardner has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pearson down to the mat. Pearson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Pearson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Pearson drives through and clinches with Gardner against the cage.
Gardner changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pearson fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Pearson dips a shoulder and cracks Gardner with a mighty uppercut! Gardner falls back against the cage and Pearson unloads with a barrage of strikes! Gardner is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Pearson screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
