Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Les Roughneck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roughneck comes to the cage accompanied by Roughest Neck Around - Corb Lund. Joe Johnson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Les Roughneck! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Johnson! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roughneck shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Johnson is refusing to be controlled, as Roughneck sits in half guard. Roughneck trying to pass the guard but Johnson defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Roughneck is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Johnson defends it well. Roughneck wants to pass to mount but Johnson is defending the position. Roughneck is thwarting Johnson's attempts to control the position. Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Roughneck. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Roughneck frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Roughneck swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Johnson is now in Roughneck's guard. A big mistake from Roughneck there, giving up the dominant position! Johnson trying to control the position from guard on top but Roughneck is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roughneck looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Roughneck working for a triangle but Johnson defends it easily.
Johnson wanted to stand there but Roughneck had control of the position. Johnson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Johnson won't allow Roughneck to sweep him here. Roughneck throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Johnson wants to clinch up but Roughneck keeps it at a distance. Roughneck shoots in but no luck this time. Johnson wants to clinch. Johnson fails to land with a series of punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Roughneck circles away from the clinch attempt.
Roughneck shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Johnson wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Roughneck will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Roughneck with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Roughneck throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Roughneck wants to finish this one by submission but Johnson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Roughneck. Johnson is trying to get back to his feet but can't. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Poor strikes thrown by Roughneck there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson pushes Roughneck off looking to stand but Roughneck dives back in and keeps control.

Johnson tries to kick Roughneck off but Roughneck keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Johnson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Johnson. Johnson throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Roughneck is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Johnson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Johnson has escaped and now he's on top! Roughneck is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Roughneck is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Johnson is looking to work some ground and pound but Roughneck has wrist control. Johnson wants to pass the guard but Roughneck is keeping the position. Roughneck keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Roughneck drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Johnson is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Johnson can't do much from the bottom here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roughneck looking to secure an arm triangle but Johnson defends it well. Johnson is trying desperately to improve position. Johnson holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Roughneck tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Johnson is looking to escape but he's done so without protecting himself and Roughneck manages to counter with a nice rear naked choke! Johnson is in trouble and he's forced to tap!
