Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Isaiah Padilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jesse Chase has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Isaiah Padilla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jesse Chase!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Phil Schofield and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Padilla motions for Chase to come forward. Padilla throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Chase crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Padilla - the referee stops the clock and Chase gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Padilla. Chase manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Padilla tries a head kick but it misses.
Chase scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Padilla tries to bum rush Chase with a series of wild strikes but Chase uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Padilla uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Chase.
Chase looks to land a combination but Padilla avoids it well.
Padilla avoids the head kick by Chase.
Chase misses with a wild combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Some bone on bone action there as Chase checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Padilla dodges the punch combination from Chase.

Padilla clinches up with Chase and pushes him back against the cage.

Chase is trying to break the clinch but Padilla has him pressed against the cage.
Padilla fails to pull guard.
Chase drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Padilla gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Padilla looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Padilla holds on and takes a little breather.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chase wants to stand but Padilla is controlling his posture from full guard.
Padilla wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Chase wants to control from the top but Padilla keeps moving.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Chase connects with the punch.

Chase gets tackled into the cage by Padilla. Padilla maintains the clinch.

Padilla has picked Chase up - he's going for a ride! Padilla dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Chase is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Padilla scores with a couple of nice shots.
Padilla winds up and cracks Chase with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Well, if Padilla is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Padilla will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Padilla is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Chase defends it well.

Padilla working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Padilla in particular looking to stall.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Chase tries to roll over but Padilla keeps him under control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Isaiah Padilla dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Chase is working for takedown but Padilla is calmly controlling the position for now.

Padilla has Chase pressed against the cage, preventing Chase from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Chase escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Padilla gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Padilla tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Padilla thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Padilla misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Chase drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Padilla defends it well.

Padilla fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Chase sprawls well initially but Padilla persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Padilla is working for a submission of some sort.
Padilla really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Padilla is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Chase sees it coming and defends easily.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Padilla lands a nice short elbow.
Padilla takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Padilla looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Padilla seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Padilla looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Chase wants to control but Padilla is keeping busy.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Padilla seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Chase for as long as he can get away with.

Chase takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Padilla is pulling down on Chase's head. It's preventing any offense from Chase, at least for the moment.
Chase must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Padilla's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Chase looking to sit in guard and control but Padilla gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Padilla is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Padilla decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Isaiah Padilla is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Chase tries to keep at a distance but Padilla has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jesse Chase has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Isaiah Padilla is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Chase makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

And that's the end of the fight!
Isaiah Padilla showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Padilla, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
