Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Farouk Al Ahwei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ouje Bougoumou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Al Ahwei kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Whirling Madness. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bougoumou wants to clinch up but Al Ahwei keeps it at a distance.
Bougoumou blocks the body kick.
A left lands for Al Ahwei.
Al Ahwei keeps the fight on the outside.
Horrible takedown attempt by Bougoumou or perhaps it was just good defense by Al Ahwei, which made it look bad.
Bougoumou on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Al Ahwei lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Bougoumou swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Al Ahwei tried to counter with a leg kick but Bougoumou avoided it.
Al Ahwei throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Bougoumou creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Al Ahwei perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Al Ahwei is looking for a kimura but Bougoumou is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Al Ahwei to get the leverage.
Bougoumou is in trouble now - Al Ahwei has advanced to mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Al Ahwei can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bougoumou is looking to escape.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Al Ahwei has control of Bougoumou's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bougoumou regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Al Ahwei jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Bougoumou manages to avoid the submission attempt.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Al Ahwei was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Bougoumou shoots in looking for a takedown. Al Ahwei tries to sprawl out of it but Bougoumou keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Al Ahwei manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bougoumou has hold of Al Ahwei's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Al Ahwei seems comfortable defending it but Bougoumou has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Al Ahwei is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Al Ahwei is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Bougoumou couldn't care less - he's delighted!
