The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richmond tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Richmond tries to grapple but his opponent circles
enabling Karlsson to counter with a crisp jab.
Richmond tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Karlsson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Karlsson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Richmond tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Good leg kick by Karlsson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Richmond darts in trying to clinch
and Karlsson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Charles Richmond seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick by Richmond misses
and Karlsson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Karlsson misses with a looping left.
As Karlsson tries to get set, Richmond tries to push him back and clinch up but Karlsson manages to avoid the attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Richmond closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Karl Karlsson has been cut.
Richmond swings widly with a right hand
and Karlsson counters with a straight right hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Richmond tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Karlsson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Richmond closes the distance but Karlsson moves to the side
and Karlsson counters with a stiff right hand.
Richmond looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Crack! A monster head kick from Richmond and Karlsson falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Richmond!
