The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Omeruo does no damage.
Perry with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Omeruo to score with a decent uppercut.
Perry misses with a series of wild punches.

Omeruo lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Omeruo blocks the body kick.
Perry gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Omeruo breaks the clinch.
Omeruo lands an overhand right.
A slow jab from Omeruo misses its intended target.
Omeruo is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Omeruo sizes up Perry with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Perry's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Omeruo connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Perry scrambles back to his feet.

Perry motions for Omeruo to come forward. Perry throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Omeruo moves into range and clinches up with Perry.

Omeruo wants the takedown. Perry is fighting it off but Omeruo persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Perry's guard against the cage.

Perry has momentary wrist control but Omeruo slips an elbow through the middle.
Perry is still in real trouble! Can Omeruo finish him?
Omeruo loads up on a big left hand. Perry felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Omeruo looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Perry can't hide his disappointment, as Omeruo celebrates the victory.

In his post fight interview, Joseph Omeruo started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
