The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ripgut stuns Szczęsny with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
A shot to the body from Ripgut misses
and Szczęsny counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ripgut throws an overhand right that lands on Szczęsny's shoulder, as Szczęsny tries to avoid the shot.
Szczęsny tried to counter with a leg kick but Ripgut avoided it.
The fighters circle momentarily. Ripgut darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Krzysztof Szczęsny has been cut.
Szczęsny seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Ripgut misses the jab.
As Ripgut backs away, Szczęsny returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Szczęsny takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ripgut throws a shot from downtown. Szczęsny moves away and avoids it.
Ripgut has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Shane Ripgut seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ripgut tries to break free but Szczęsny pushes him back against the ropes.

Ripgut escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Szczęsny keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Ripgut takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Ripgut walks straight into devastating uppercut and drops to the floor, clearly wobbled! Can he beat the count? 4,5,6,7... he's up! And he's down again! The ref steps in and calls an end to the fight! What a punch that was!
