Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Pettis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Jay Bronie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bronie has chosen Cactus Jack as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Anthony Pettis! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Anthony Jay Bronie! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bronie throws a nice looking combination but Pettis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. It looked like Pettis wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Bronie fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pettis, pushing him back against the cage. Bronie changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pettis fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Pettis scores with a nice right hand.
Bronie looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. A decent looking cross lands there for Pettis. Bronie clinches up against the cage. Bronie is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pettis lands a nice uppercut. Bronie is trying to break the clinch but Pettis has him pressed against the cage. Pettis managing to block the knees to the body from Bronie.
Bronie misses with a hook from the clinch. A body shot lands from Pettis.
Pettis lands a hook that snaps the head of Bronie backwards. Bronie looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pettis lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Bronie can't find room to land a body shot as Pettis controls the action.
Pettis scores with a shot to the side of Bronie's head. Bronie tries for a takedown. No joy.
Pettis stops a takedown attempt from Bronie.
Anthony Pettis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Jay Bronie. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Pettis creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. A short uppercut from Pettis. Pettis lands a right hand that snaps the head of Bronie backwards. Pettis blocks an uppercut.
Pettis lands a left hand.
Bronie is rocked! Bronie takes a shot to the head. Bronie is still on wobbly legs! Can Pettis finish him? Bronie looks winded! Pettis lands a hook that snaps the head of Bronie backwards. This has been an exciting period of action! Pettis creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Bronie with a big uppercut! Bronie tries to clinch up but Pettis pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Bronie to the mat! Bronie covers up and Pettis unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Anthony Pettis! Anthony Pettis is the new lightweight champion! After winning the bout, Anthony Pettis thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
