The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bronie throws a nice looking combination but Pettis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
It looked like Pettis wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Bronie fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pettis, pushing him back against the cage.
Bronie changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pettis fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Pettis scores with a nice right hand.
Bronie looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
A decent looking cross lands there for Pettis.

Bronie clinches up against the cage.
Bronie is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pettis lands a nice uppercut.
Bronie is trying to break the clinch but Pettis has him pressed against the cage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Pettis creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Pettis creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Bronie with a big uppercut! Bronie tries to clinch up but Pettis pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Bronie to the mat! Bronie covers up and Pettis unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
