The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Badger works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Badger feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Badger working some strikes from top position. Badger working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Stelling 's head. Badger is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Stelling seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Stelling keeping moving, preventing Badger from controlling successfully. Stelling pulls Badger in close to prevent any damage. Badger scoring with punches to the head and body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Badger accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Stelling is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Badger has his hands clasped together but Stelling extends and breaks Badger's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Stelling .
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jack Stelling ! Jack Stelling seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
