Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rashad Reilly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aldo Crespo!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Crespo has closed the distance and engaged Reilly in a clinch.

Reilly breaks the clinch.

Crespo rushes Reilly and presses him up against the cage.

Reilly has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Crespo regains guard immediately.
Crespo is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Reilly in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Crespo controls Reilly momentarily but Reilly frees himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Crespo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Crespo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Reilly gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Reilly has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Reilly stopping the sweep attempt from Crespo.

Reilly gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Reilly feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Crespo pushes Reilly off and scrambles back to his feet.

Reilly closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Crespo quickly recovers to half guard.
Reilly really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Reilly lands strikes from half guard.
Crespo tries to get to full guard but Reilly has control of the leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ground and pound from Reilly.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Reilly thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Crespo's head.
Reilly looks to land a strike but Crespo avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Reilly wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Crespo's closed guard. He's half up but Crespo has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Crespo pivots and extends the arm, Reilly falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Crespo! Well done that man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Aldo Crespo!
