PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roger Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hussein Stahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nelson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to I'm Fat by Weird Al. The key to victory for Roger Nelson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hussein Stahl!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Stahl has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Stahl takes one to the chin there.

Stahl closes the distance and pushes Nelson back into the cage.
Stahl wants a takedown but no success here.

Stahl has Nelson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Stahl pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Nelson tumbling to the mat - Stahl dives into Nelson's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stahl accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That was a close round but I would say that Roger Nelson will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Stahl bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nelson's guard.

Nelson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stahl gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
