Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dane Valentine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Down (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Down comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The battle kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rock Down is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dane Valentine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rock Down! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Down misses with a head kick.
Down looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Down clinches with his opponent.
Valentine misses with a hook from the clinch. Valentine landing knees to the body.
Down avoids the elbow strike from Valentine, against the cage.
Down has Valentine pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Down pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Valentine tumbling to the mat - Down dives into Valentine's guard. Valentine is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Down defends well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Down stops Valentine from standing up. Down pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Valentine is keeping the position for now. Valentine will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Down passes Valentine's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Valentine is looking for a sweep. Down is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Down throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Down missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Valentine tries to get to full guard but Down has control of the leg. Valentine pushes Down off looking to stand but Down dives back in and keeps control.
Valentine is defending against the submission attempts here by Down.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Down stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Valentine swivels though and keeps the full guard. Valentine had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Down defends it easily.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Down avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Valentine tries to close the distance and clinch but Down swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Down throws a low kick but Valentine moves out of range easily. Valentine tries to counter with a takedown but Down is quick to defend against it. Valentine tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Down counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Valentine punching from the bottom.
Valentine really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Valentine moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Valentine is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Down looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Down in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Down postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rock Down dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Down tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Valentine paws at him with a jab and circles away. Valentine keeps the fight on the outside. Valentine throws a head kick that misses. Valentine checks a low kick from Down. Valentine throws a quick counter head kick but Down was just out of range. Valentine shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Down but Down pushes him off and we're back to square one. Down is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Down clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Down pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Down shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Valentine's guard. Valentine wants to hit a switch here but Down passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Valentine there! Down jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Valentine is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Valentine and Down has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Valentine is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Down throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Down wants to lay and pray for a moment but Valentine keeps working. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Down goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Valentine rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Down's guard! Nice work there by Valentine! Down looking for a sweep. Not yet Down, not yet. Down utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Valentine won't allow Down to sweep him here. Valentine with a nice head shot there. Valentine wanted to stand there but Down had control of the position. Valentine sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Valentine in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Down has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Valentine can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Down utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Valentine wants to get up but he can't break Down's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Valentine missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Valentine tries to stand but Down is controlling from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Valentine clinches up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Valentine throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Valentine gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Down working hard to break the clinch. Valentine breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Valentine tries to close the distance and clinch but Down swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. As Valentine backs off Down throws a huge counter combo but Valentine manages to avoid it all. Valentine fails with an attempt to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Valentine looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Down bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rock Down showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Valentine tries to clinch up but Down circles away and keeps his distance. Down slaps away a takedown attempt from Valentine, before circling back to the center of the mat. The fight stays on the outside here - Valentine looks like he's thinking about clinching though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Valentine is defended easily by Down. Down takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Down throws a half hearted mid kick. Valentine feinted there with a counter leg kick. Valentine drives through and clinches with Down against the cage.
Valentine breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Down decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Valentine regains full guard. Nicely done. Down trying to control but Valentine is working from the bottom. Down tries to free his leg and advance position but Valentine is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Valentine throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Valentine tries to land a sweep but no joy. Down trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Down content to stall in guard here. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Valentine trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Valentine gets a clinch. Down has clasped his hands together around Valentine's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Down thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Down wants to control but Valentine is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Down tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Down has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Valentine is not content to let Down control the position. An elbow from Down crashes against the mat.
Rock Down is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Valentine is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Dane Valentine has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
And that's the end of the fight! Rock Down comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Down winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
