Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Buzzard Jigsawz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jigsawz pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Nice defenses there by Maia.
Jigsawz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jigsawz lands a body shot.
Maia throws a head kick that misses
and Jigsawz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Damian Maia has been cut.
Jigsawz connects with a body shot that sends Maia's belly button to the back.
Maia showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jigsawz.
Jigsawz lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Jigsawz gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Maia is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Jigsawz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Maia gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Maia slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Maia stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jigsawz swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jigsawz can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Maia controls the pace.

Jigsawz looking for a guillotine here but Maia defends easily.

Maia pushes down on Jigsawz's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Jigsawz wants to control but Maia is keeping busy.

Maia is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jigsawz is just riding it out for now. Maia eventually gives up the hold.
Maia content to control rather than advance.

Maia takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Maia swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
