Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Boss Boxer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Westbrook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, Boss Boxer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Westbrook! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Bruno Lombardi and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boxer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Westbrook swats him away and circles back towards the center. Boxer lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Westbrook shoots in and bounces Boxer off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Boxer is looking to stand back up but Westbrook counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Boxer.
Westbrook decides to return to a standing position. Westbrook throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Boxer tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Westbrook is in Boxer's guard. Westbrook sitting in guard here, content to control. Westbrook is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Westbrook sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's one minute gone in the round. It looks like Westbrook might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Westbrook content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Boxer is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Boxer trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Westbrook controlling his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Westbrook punishing his opponent with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Westbrook dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Boxer tries to clinch up but Westbrook circles away and keeps his distance. Westbrook wants to counter the offense by Boxer and move into the clinch position. Westbrook gets a clinch. Boxer wants to get back to striking at distance but Westbrook won't allow it.

Boxer misses with a double jab
and Westbrook counters with a two punch combo. Westbrook clinches up with Boxer and pushes him back against the cage. Boxer wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boxer is looking to break free of the clinch but Westbrook has double underhooks. Westbrook stalling in the clinch.
Westbrook tightens his grip and picks Boxer up, before dumping him to the ground. Boxer manages to land in guard. Westbrook passes into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Westbrook scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Westbrook controlling the pace. Westbrook looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Westbrook has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Westbrook lands with a punch from half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Westbrook uses his free foot to push down on Boxer's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Boxer. Westbrook with a couple of short strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Westbrook content just to control the position here. Let's hope that Westbrook has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Westbrook wants to take Boxer's back here but Boxer is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Westbrook lands with some strikes. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Westbrook lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Westbrook tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Boxer really wants to buck Westbrook off and get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Westbrook showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Westbrook in particular looking to stall.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Boss Boxer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! A swing and a miss from Westbrook. Boxer misses with a takedown attempt - Westbrook sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Westbrook shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Boxer's guard. Boxer is wriggling around but Westbrook manages to pass to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Paul Westbrook comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Westbrook has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
