Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elvis Marley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Hobbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marley comes to the cage accompanied by Alborosie - Real Story. Hobbs has chosen Hell's Bells - ACDC as his entrance music. Ray Hobbs has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Elvis Marley's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elvis Marley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ray Hobbs!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hobbs lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Marley circles away quickly and effectively.
Hobbs wants to clinch.
Marley shoots in but no luck this time.

Marley shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Marley is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Marley is pressing down on Hobbs's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hobbs is holding on for now.

Marley looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Hobbs wants to control but Marley is keeping busy.

Marley wants to work for an arm triangle but Hobbs is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Marley is looking to advance position but Hobbs won't allow it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Marley fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hobbs feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Marley sprawling to the canvas! Marley rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Hobbs finish him?!


It looks like Elvis Marley has been cut.
Marley circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hobbs fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hobbs keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Elvis Marley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Marley is breathing heavily.

Marley tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hobbs swivels and escapes.
Hobbs fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Marley manages to avoid it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hobbs closes the distance and clinches.

Hobbs pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Hobbs instigates a clinch.
Hobbs lands a right hand.
Hobbs lands a body shot.

Marley wants a takedown.

Hobbs works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Hobbs tries to free his leg and advance position but Marley is retaining full guard.
Hobbs with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hobbs content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Hobbs postures up and lands a big shot to Marley's brow.
Hobbs cracks Marley with a solid left hand.

Marley looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hobbs's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Marley working for a triangle but Hobbs defends it easily.
Hobbs tries to free his leg and advance position but Marley is retaining full guard.
Marley has momentary wrist control but Hobbs slips an elbow through the middle.
Hobbs landing some decent shots from guard.
Hobbs looking to pass the guard.
Hobbs stands up over Marley, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Marley has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hobbs can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hobbs working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Hobbs forces his way into half guard.
Hobbs scoring with strikes to the body and head.


Elvis Marley's cut is getting worse.
Marley on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Hobbs scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Marley is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hobbs connects with a nice short shot to Marley's temple.
Hobbs trying to mount his opponent but Marley defends it.
Hobbs is looking to take a break and control but Marley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Marley wants to improve his position but Hobbs is controlling well.
Hobbs working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ray Hobbs dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Elvis Marley's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Marley tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hobbs just stands there and leans against the cage.
Hobbs prevents a takedown attempt there.

Hobbs turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Marley gets back to half guard.
Marley is not content to let Hobbs control the position.
Marley is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hobbs scores with a couple of nice shots.
Marley has hold of Hobbs's hands but Hobbs slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Hobbs is nestled in close to Marley, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Marley looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hobbs seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Hobbs looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Marley with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Elvis Marley's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Hobbs looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Oh Marley is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hobbs lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Marley! More strikes land and this one is all over! Hobbs jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ray Hobbs!
