Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luca Fietsora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luca Fietsora has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith dives in for a single leg takedown but Fietsora sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Smith shoots in looking for a takedown but Fietsora manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Smith's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch but Fietsora swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Fietsora stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fietsora wants it to stay on the feet.
Luca Fietsora has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chad Smith.
Fietsora scores with a punch to the head.
Smith doesn't manage to clinch there - Fietsora circles away.

Smith clinches up with Fietsora and pushes him back against the cage.

Fietsora is fighting off a takedown attempt but Smith is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Fietsora to the mat. Fietsora regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Smith shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Smith was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Smith wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fietsora keeps working.

Smith tries to pass the half guard into mount. Fietsora knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Smith working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Smith misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Fietsora was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Smith clinches up with Fietsora and pushes him back against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

I would just about give that final round to Chad Smith.
