Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peaky Blinder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Smoosh Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blinder comes to the cage accompanied by Dave not Dave - Cold blood. Peaky Blinder has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Peaky Blinder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Smoosh Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Columbo Gatti and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Blinder connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


It looks like Smoosh Jackson has been cut.
Jackson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Blinder.

and Blinder counters with a takedown into side control.
Jackson wants to control but Blinder postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson looking for a sweep but Blinder has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Blinder controlling the pace for now.
Blinder seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jackson for as long as he can get away with.

Blinder looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Blinder prevents Jackson from getting the reversal.

Blinder controlling his opponent.
Blinder's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Further stalling from Blinder.
Blinder has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Blinder.
Jackson gets back to half guard.
Blinder knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jackson on the ground.

Blinder looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Blinder perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Blinder is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jackson has managed to free his arm - good work.

Blinder stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Blinder avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jackson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Jackson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Blinder connects with a high kick.
Smoosh Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Blinder.
Jackson shoots and misses
and Blinder counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Jackson looks winded!

Blinder circles away from the clinch attempt
and Blinder counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

A jab-cross combination lands for Blinder and sends Jackson crashing to the mat! Blinder follows him down to the mat - Jackson regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Blinder scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Jackson is still in real trouble! Can Blinder finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jackson actively working from the bottom here.
Blinder takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Blinder decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Blinder goes for a small jab and connects. Now Blinder goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Jackson stumbles back but Blinder runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Jackson to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Jackson will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Peaky Blinder!
Peaky Blinder decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
