Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Connor McClosky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glo Kem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Glo Kem will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Connor McClosky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Glo Kem! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McClosky has his takedown stuffed and Kem connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. McClosky doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kem counters with a lovely straight right hand! McClosky tries for a takedown but Kem circles away easily and McClosky takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Connor McClosky. That's going to take a lot out of him. McClosky throws an off balance right hand
and Kem counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A lazy body kick from McClosky and Kem counters with a lovely straight right hand! McClosky misses with a takedown and Kem counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. McClosky bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Kem is working to avoid the ground and pound but McClosky connects with a decent elbow. Kem is looking to reverse the position. McClosky controls the position. Kem is looking to regain half guard here but McClosky keeps moving and retains side control. Kem manages to get back to half guard. McClosky prevents Kem from improving his position. McClosky slows the pace down in half guard. McClosky seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kem for as long as he can get away with. Kem on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McClosky seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. McClosky working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Kem looking for subs from the bottom but McClosky mounts him! This has been an exciting period of action! Kem in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. McClosky breaks from Kem's wrist control and lands an elbow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McClosky lands a big elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. BOOM! McClosky connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Kem is rocked! McClosky lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Kem! McClosky sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Kem and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Connor McClosky!
