Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Scarn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ground Guru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michael Scarn is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

11 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ground Guru! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Donk. Scarn catches Guru right on the button with a cross. Guru walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Scarn scores with a decent looking hook. Scarn misses with a wild body shot. Scarn looks to land a left hand but Guru moved out of range nicely. Guru wants to counter with a clinch but Scarn pushes him away. A punch lands to the side of Guru 's head but he takes it in his stride. Scarn throws a big shot that misses. Scarn misses with a straight left. Guru walks into a jab. Guru dives in for a single leg takedown but Scarn sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Scarn smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Scarn looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. We've been told by Scarn's head coaches at The Gentleman's Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nice sprawl there from Scarn as Guru shoots in. Guru with a poor takedown letting Scarn counter with a right hand. Michael Scarn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ground Guru. Guru blocks a jab. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Guru. Scarn is looking to counter punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scarn sizes up Guru with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Michael Scarn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Guru misses with a jab to the body
and Scarn counters with a stiff right hand. Guru fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Scarn to the ground. Guru is now in Scarn's guard. Scarn pushes Guru off and scrambles back to his feet.
Scarn fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. A big left from Scarn misses. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Guru takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Guru misses with a takedown attempt letting Scarn counter with a right hand. Scarn throws a head kick that half lands.

and Guru counters with a nice double leg into side control. Scarn won't be happy with that. Scarn bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scarn bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Guru's head backwards. Guru on the wrong end of a nice jab. Guru gets the takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Guru throws a strike aimed at the side of Scarn's head but Scarn avoids it well. Scarn is looking to regain half guard here but Guru keeps moving and retains side control. You can see the frustration on Scarn's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Guru shoots in looking for a takedown but Scarn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Guru's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Guru closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Scarn pushes Guru off and gets back to his feet. Scarn falls off balance throwing a combination
and Guru counters with a takedown into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Guru decides to stand back up. Scarn misses with an uppercut. Guru shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Guru keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Scarn. Guru tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Scarn swivels and escapes. Scarn throws a series of punches but Guru avoids them all with ease. Scarn lands a right hook to the body.
No joy there for Guru, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Guru doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Guru misses with a looping left. Guru goes for a double leg but Scarn avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Scarn continues to drive forward. Scarn leaves Guru with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Scarn works over Guru's head and body with a nice combination. Guru tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Scarn defends well and Guru ends up having to push Scarn into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Guru's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Scarn connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Guru scrambles back to his feet. Scarn lands a jab to the nose. Scarn swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Guru shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Scarn as he avoids it easily.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Scarn wants it to stay on the feet. Scarn swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Scarn is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Guru can do to turn this around? Scarn slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Scarn is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Guru slips a straight right by Scarn. No luck with that takedown attempt from Guru. Guru on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Scarn lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Guru uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Scarn. Scarn defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Guru. Guru tries to clinch up but Scarn circles away and keeps his distance. Some wild striking there from Scarn.

Guru ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Guru no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Scarn forces his way into half guard. Scarn tries to pass to full mount but Guru defends it. Scarn takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Guru is trying to get back to full guard. Guru is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Scarn pulls his head out easily. Guru looking for subs from the bottom but Scarn mounts him! Scarn tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Guru is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Guru tries to lock up and control but Scarn gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scarn prevents Guru from getting the reversal. Guru keeps trying to improve his position. Scarn sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Guru felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Guru really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Ground Guru has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Guru is still trying to improve position. Michael Scarn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Scarn content just to control the position here. Guru is desperately trying to improve his position but Scarn has a good base and remains in mount. Guru gets back to half guard. Guru flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Scarn in particular looking to stall. The fighters are battling for position here. Guru manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Guru has an active guard here but Scarn has managed to pass into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Michael Scarn showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Scarn, winning every round. Will the judges agree? In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Michael Scarn! Michael Scarn decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little. In defeat, Ground Guru stepped up to the mic, saying 'thanks for coming out!'.
