Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Waylon Mercy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Kruschewsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kruschewsky has chosen Duke Ellington & John Coltrane - In a Sentimental Mood as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Waylon Mercy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Carlos Kruschewsky! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Joseph Jones and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mercy works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Mercy tries to score with a low kick but Kruschewsky moves his leg out of the way. Mercy misses with a leg kick and Kruschewsky counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mercy won't be happy with that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kruschewsky throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Kruschewsky has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kruschewsky misses with the ground and pound. Kruschewsky misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Kruschewsky in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Mercy is trying to escape the position but Kruschewsky is controlling the position. Sloppy strikes there by Kruschewsky. Mercy wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kruschewsky working the head and body with strikes. Kruschewsky throwing shots but missing, from side control. Mercy tries to improve position but can't. Mercy's coaches at The Factory have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kruschewsky is looking to take a break and control but Mercy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kruschewsky misses with the ground and pound. Mercy is not content to let Kruschewsky control the position. Mercy takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kruschewsky working the ground and pound from side control. Mercy is being controlled here. Mercy tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kruschewsky working the strikes but Mercy uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Kruschewsky trying to control the action but Mercy is working from the bottom. Kruschewsky prevents Mercy from improving his position. Kruschewsky is just content to waste time from the top position. Mercy takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mercy looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Mercy trying to keep a closed guard but Kruschewsky is proving a slippery customer.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kruschewsky defending well as Mercy loads up on a big left hand. Kruschewsky changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Kruschewsky takes one to the chin there. Mercy feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kruschewskys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Mercy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kruschewsky. A low kick from Mercy is predictable there and Kruschewsky counters with a nice double leg into guard. Kruschewsky's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mercy has Kruschewsky pulled in close to control his posture. Kruschewsky in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Kruschewsky wants to control from the top but Mercy keeps moving. Mercy wants to sweep but no luck. Kruschewsky pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mercy is keeping the position for now. Mercy working a defensive guard here.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kruschewsky with a flurry of punches that miss.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Mercy throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Carlos Kruschewsky will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Kruschewsky with a nice head shot there. Mercy wants to sweep here but Kruschewsky controlling him for the moment. Kruschewsky is in close to Mercy's body, working some short punches and elbows. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mercy keeping moving, preventing Kruschewsky from controlling successfully. Mercy is trying to keep Kruschewsky in close.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Mercy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Kruschewsky counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Kruschewsky trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Mercy manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Kruschewsky is adopting a defensive guard. Mercy won't allow Kruschewsky to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kruschewsky can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mercy controls the pace. Mercy wants to control from the top but Kruschewsky keeps moving. Mercy looking to pass the guard. Mercy looking to sit in guard and control but Kruschewsky gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kruschewsky is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Carlos Kruschewsky has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kruschewsky working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Mercy's head. Kruschewsky seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Kruschewsky passes easily into side control. Nice work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mercy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kruschewsky is working away from the top position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carlos Kruschewsky showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Mercy looks to land a combination but Kruschewsky avoids it well. Kruschewsky is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Mercy throws a leg kick that is checked and Kruschewsky counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kruschewsky. Kruschewsky postures up in Mercy's guard and throws a big left but Mercy blocks it. Kruschewsky is pushing down on Mercy's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mercy is fighting to maintain full guard but Kruschewsky has managed to sneak the leg through. Mercy is looking to control Kruschewsky's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mercy avoid being mounted? Kruschewsky controlling the pace. Mercy is staying active underneath Kruschewsky, who seems content to just control the action from this position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kruschewsky stalling. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kruschewsky lands a nice short elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mercy regains full guard. Nicely done. Kruschewsky forces his way into half guard. Kruschewsky is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Mercy tries to roll over but Kruschewsky keeps him under control. Mercy wants to sweep but Kruschewsky has passed to side control! Kruschewsky controlling the position from side mount. Kruschewsky working the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kruschewsky taking a breather here. Mercy takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Mercy can't do much from the bottom here. Kruschewsky throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Mercy works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Mercy is positioning himself well to prevent Kruschewsky advancing to mount. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kruschewsky in particular looking to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mercy pushes Kruschewsky off looking to stand but Kruschewsky dives back in and keeps control.

Kruschewsky has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kruschewsky is pressing down on Mercy's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mercy is holding on for now. Kruschewsky not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Waylon Mercy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kruschewsky moves out of range of the strikes. A decent looking cross lands there for Mercy. Mercy throws out a loose jab but Kruschewsky uses good head movement to avoid it. Mercy misses with a left hand and Kruschewsky counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Kruschewsky takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mercy avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kruschewsky. Kruschewsky thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mercy's head. Still in half guard, Kruschewsky seems content to control. Kruschewsky takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Kruschewsky looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Kruschewsky wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mercy keeps working. Kruschewsky controlling the action here. Kruschewsky working Mercy over with strikes. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mercy is in trouble now - Kruschewsky has advanced to mount!
And that's the end of the fight! Carlos Kruschewsky comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Kruschewsky winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
