Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ross Buchanan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Freddy Warren! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buchanan shoots in for a double leg but Warren sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Buchanan thuds his shin into the meat of Warren's side. Buchanan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Warren sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Buchanan wants to clinch and Warren counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Buchanan is trying to control but Warren manages to pass to mount!
Buchanan sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Buchanan is trying to maintain the position but Warren is very close to passing his half guard. Warren really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Buchanan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Warren throwing shots but Buchanan is blocking nicely. Buchanan wants to get back to his feet. Buchanan holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Warren prevents Buchanan from standing back up.
The fighters are battling for position here. Buchanan manages to regain full guard. Nice work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Buchanan is on top in guard.
Warren is working an open guard so Buchanan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Buchanan tries to clinch up and Buchanan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buchanan tries a head kick but it misses.
Buchanan fails in his attempt to clinch. Buchanan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ross Buchanan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Buchanan waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Warren. Warren misses the body punch and Buchanan finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Buchanan connects with a body shot. Buchanan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Warren manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Buchanan fails to land the takedown. Warren wants to counter the offense by Buchanan and move into the clinch position. Warren works Buchanan's body with a nice hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Warren feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Buchanan pushes Warren off and scrambles back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Buchanan wriggles free and stands up. Ross Buchanan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Buchanan drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Warren felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Buchanan stands up and we're back to a striking position. Buchanan throws a left and a right that both miss
and Warren counters with a nice uppercut. Buchanan looks for a takedown but Warren sprawls well. A punch combination from Warren misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ross Buchanan will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Ross Buchanan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Warren misses the jab. Warren fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Buchanan manages to avoid it. Warren just misses with a punch to the body.
Buchanan tries to clinch but Warren moves away letting Warren counter with a right hand. Buchanan gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Warren tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buchanan manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Buchanan wants to sweep but no luck. Buchanan has his hands on Warren's head, controlling the position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Warren distracts Buchanan with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Warren trying to control the action but Buchanan is working from the bottom. Warren throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Buchanan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Buchanan trying to control from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Buchanan throws a sloppy head kick and Warren moves out of range easily. Buchanan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Warren pinned against the cage. Warren gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buchanan ducks under a wild hook from Warren. Buchanan tries to close the distance and clinch but Warren swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Buchanan shoots in and drives through. Warren sprawls well. Buchanan sets himself, and Warren steps forward looking for the clinch! Buchanan avoids it this time. Buchanan tries to clinch there but Warren circles away.
It seemed like Warren was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Buchanan closes the distance and pushes Warren back into the cage. Warren stalling in the clinch but Buchanan improves position. Warren swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Buchanan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Buchanan throws a front kick that sends Warren stumbling back into the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buchanan scores with a kick to the midsection. Buchanan rushes Warren and presses him up against the cage. Warren gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Buchanan.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Warren sitting in guard here, content to control. Warren must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Buchanan wants to get back to his feet but Warren is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Buchanan wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Warren throws an overhand right that lands on Buchanan's shoulder, as Buchanan tries to avoid the shot. Buchanan swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Warren has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Buchanan moves out of range as Warren strikes. Buchanan drives through with a takedown into guard. The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Buchanan throws a sloppy head kick and Warren moves out of range easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Buchanan moves into the clinch successfully.
Warren tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Buchanan misses with a punch to the body.
Buchanan wants to take the fight to the mat but Warren manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Warren misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Buchanan shoots in for a takedown but Warren shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Buchanan shoots in but no luck this time. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Buchanan throws a sloppy head kick and Warren moves out of range easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Buchanan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Warren. Warren swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
And that's the end of the fight! Freddy Warren comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Buchanan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
