Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alfred Combs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kai Firanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Firanen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Kai Firanen has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Alfred Combs's chin.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Firanen misses the shot to the body.
Combs appears to be looking for a big counter.
Combs avoids a punch combination nicely.
Firanen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Firanen lands in his opponent's guard.
Combs is trying to keep Firanen in close.

Firanen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Firanen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Combs can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Combs with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Firanen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Combs gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Firanen is working an open guard so Combs takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Kai Firanen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Firanen can do anything to dispel that myth.

I would just about give that final round to Kai Firanen.
Well Firanen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
