Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bom Bam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Uriah Faber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uriah Faber is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bom Bam! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Uriah Faber! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, David Hoff and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Faber rushes Bam and presses him up against the cage. Bam breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Faber throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bam tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Faber is in Bam's guard. Bam keeping full guard, as Faber tries to pass. Faber is still trying to improve position. Bam looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Bam controls Faber momentarily but Faber frees himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bam can't keep his opponent in guard - Faber advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Faber looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Faber has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Bam avoids a series of strikes thrown by Faber.
Faber pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Bam is in all sorts of trouble here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bam defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Faber. Bam is trying desperately to improve position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bam is squirming around, avoiding Faber's attempts to control the action. Faber with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Faber tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Bam blocking the ground and pound. Faber controlling the pace for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Faber moves to take his opponent's back. Bam fending off the submission attempt from Faber. Faber has good solid back control here. Faber is looking for the choke from the back position but Bam is controlling his hands well. Bam has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Faber.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Faber just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Faber working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Faber has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Bam has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Bam just trying to survive but Faber is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Bam is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. I really don't envy Bam right now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Uriah Faber dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Faber closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bam did well to prevent Faber getting side control. Faber uses his free foot to push down on Bam's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bam. Faber controlling from the full mount. Faber tries to control but Bam wriggling away. Faber controlling from the full mount. Faber is looking to work his way around to Bam's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bam blocking the ground and pound.

He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Bam has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Bam! Faber is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bam postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Faber is looking for a triangle but Bam pushes his legs off easily.
Faber is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bam has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Bam looking to pass the guard. Faber looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Bam throws a big elbow that misses. Bam stopping the sweep attempt from Faber. Faber keeping moving, preventing Bam from controlling successfully. Bam stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Faber swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bam is working hard here to advance position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Faber is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bam drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Faber manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bam has Faber in his guard. Faber is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Faber trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Faber forces his way into half guard. Faber has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Faber trying to pass the guard but Bam defending well. Faber passes to full mount! Bam is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Faber locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Bam is forced to tap!
