Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gary Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Fliehr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richard Fliehr told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gary Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard Fliehr! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Fliehr to the ground. Jackson is now in Fliehr's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jackson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Fliehr's head. Fliehr has momentary wrist control but Jackson slips an elbow through the middle. Jackson looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Jackson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fliehr is keeping the position for now. Jackson throwing strikes but missing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson trying to control but Fliehr is working from the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fliehr can do anything to dispel that myth. Jackson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Fliehr keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fliehr avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jackson passes easily into side control. Nice work. Fliehr is not content to let Jackson control the position. Jackson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Jackson is putting a hurting on Fliehr here, landing some big shots from side control. Jackson landing a few strikes. Fliehr takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Jackson working the ground and pound. Fliehr told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Fliehr defending against the ground and pound. Jackson in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Fliehr dodges the ground and pound from Jackson. Jackson misses with an attempted head punch from side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Jackson lands a nice forearm strike. Jackson fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Fliehr is letting Jackson control him for a moment. Jackson throws an elbow but Fliehr slips to the side and avoids it well. We've been hearing good reports from Jackson's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Fliehr is rocked! Fliehr looks winded! Jackson in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Fliehr looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Jackson turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
