The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Bart Greer and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rock tries to clinch up but Byson circles away and keeps his distance.
Byson jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
It looks like Rokyy Rock has been cut.
Rock shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Byson sprawls well. Byson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rock gets slowly back to his feet.
Byson lands with a right hand.
Some wild striking there from Byson.
Rock tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rock shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Byson but Byson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rock has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rokyy Rock. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Byson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rock moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Byson lands a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Byson thuds a left hand into Rock's body.
Byson moves into range and connects with a jab.
Michael Byson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Byson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rock.
The crowd cheers as Byson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rock doesn't seem phased though.
Rock is rocked!
Rock tries to get into range but Byson steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Rock! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Byson scores the big KO victory!
