9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pieter Daan Mostert! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Eddie Farnsworth and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Lewandowski!
Mostert ducks under a wild hook from Lewandowski. Mostert throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lewandowski throws a quick inside leg kick. We've been informed that Mostert has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Mostert darts in looking for a takedown but Lewandowski gets double underhooks and turns Mostert into the cage. Mostert decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Mostert is keen to just control but Lewandowski is a slippery customer. Mostert wants to work for an arm triangle but Lewandowski is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Mostert is trying to control. Lewandowski wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Lewandowski is doing well to control the position and prevent Mostert from advancing to side control. Mostert is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lewandowski sees it coming and defends easily. Mostert stops Lewandowski from getting back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mostert perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Lewandowski gets full guard. Lewandowski looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mostert is one step ahead there. Mostert wants to control from the top but Lewandowski keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Lewandowski wants to stand up but Mostert is controlling him. Lewandowski managing to control the position. Mostert wants to control from the top but Lewandowski keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lewandowski scores with a nice right hand.
Lewandowski throws a lazy right hand but Mostert sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Mostert takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Mostert is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lewandowski's half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lewandowski wants to get back to his feet.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mostert connects with a nice short shot to Lewandowski's temple. Lewandowski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mostert on the ground. Mostert scoring with strikes to the body and head. Still in half guard, Mostert seems content to control. Mostert is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lewandowski is just riding it out for now. Mostert eventually gives up the hold. Lewandowski keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Mostert is looking for a kimura here.
Mostert wants to take a breather but Lewandowski is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ground and pound from Mostert. Mostert prevents Lewandowski from standing back up.
Mostert is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lewandowski defends it well. Lewandowski is looking to improve his position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lewandowski has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mostert is working away from the top position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Pieter Daan Mostert will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Mostert needs to keep his hands up - Lewandowski had a free shot at his head there. Lewandowski moves into the clinch. Mostert drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lewandowski pulls his leg out and moves away.
A slow jab from Lewandowski misses its intended target. Mostert with a lazy takedown attempt and Lewandowski counters with a lovely straight right hand! Lewandowski looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Mostert drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Lewandowski defends it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lewandowski throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lewandowski misses the jab. Mostert tries for a takedown but Lewandowski circles away easily letting Lewandowski counter with a right hand. Dawid Lewandowski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pieter Daan Mostert.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice body punch from Lewandowski. Dawid Lewandowski is winning the standup battle so far. Lewandowski throws a leg kick but Mostert sees it coming and checks it nicely. Mostert throws a lazy head kick and Lewandowski counters with a straight right hand. Lewandowski lands a body shot.

Mostert changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Lewandowski displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mostert. We've been told by Lewandowski's head coaches at School Of Fighting that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. A head kick by Mostert misses and Lewandowski counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Donk. Lewandowski catches Mostert right on the button with a cross.
Mostert is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mostert falls off balance throwing a combination
and Lewandowski counters with a big left hand that crumples Mostert! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!
