Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Abdul The Refugee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noah Jaccard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abdul The Refugee has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Abdul The Refugee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Noah Jaccard!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Reed Andrews and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Refugee throws a lazy body kick
and Jaccard counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jaccard, right into the meat.
The Refugee misses with an attempted mid kick.
The Refugee walks into a left hand.
Jaccard has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Jaccard turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
The Refugee throws a sloppy head kick and Jaccard moves out of range easily.
The Refugee throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

The Refugee shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jaccard's guard.

Jaccard is pulling down on The Refugee's head. It's preventing any offense from The Refugee, at least for the moment.
Jaccard has momentary wrist control but The Refugee slips an elbow through the middle.
Jaccard is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The Refugee connects with a couple of short punches.
The Refugee throws a strike but Jaccard rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Jaccard must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The Refugee avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Jaccard postures up in The Refugee's guard and throws a big left but The Refugee blocks it.

The Refugee wants to get back to full guard but Jaccard has passed into side control.
Jaccard misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The Refugee is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Jaccard's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jaccard chips away with some ground and pound.
Jaccard is in close to The Refugee's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Jaccard postures up and lands a big shot to The Refugee's brow.
Jaccard keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of The Refugee's head.
The Refugee controls Jaccard momentarily but Jaccard frees himself.

The Refugee is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jaccard defends well.

The Refugee is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jaccard is aware though and is defending well.

The Refugee had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jaccard defends it easily.
Jaccard postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Jaccard stands up over The Refugee, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Jaccard lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Jaccard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. The Refugee swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The Refugee is trying to control the position but Jaccard postures up.

The Refugee has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jaccard can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The Refugee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jaccard gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Noah Jaccard will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jaccard throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jaccard displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from The Refugee.

Jaccard gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows The Refugee to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The Refugee is fighting to break Jaccard's control of his arms but Jaccard is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The Refugee lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as The Refugee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The Refugee is working Jaccard over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The Refugee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The Refugee throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jaccard works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The Refugee is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jaccard can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Jaccard tries to lock up and control but The Refugee gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The Refugee lands a big shot there that rocks Jaccard but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The Refugee avoids the attempt from Jaccard to control.
The Refugee misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Jaccard is trying to escape the mount.

It looks like Noah Jaccard has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
BOOM! The Refugee connects with a massive shot to the dome!


Jaccard is rocked!
The Refugee loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Jaccard scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from The Refugee land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. The Refugee stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Abdul The Refugee!
Abdul The Refugee opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
