Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Orville Fuentes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Devinson!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Alyssa Summers and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Devinson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Fuentes defends well and Devinson ends up having to push Fuentes into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Devinson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fuentes manages to avoid it.

Devinson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Fuentes is working an open guard so Devinson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Devinson has closed the distance and engaged Fuentes in a clinch.
Fuentes jumps guard but Devinson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Devinson prevents the takedown attempt.
Fuentes changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Devinson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Orville Fuentes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fuentes is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Devinson.


It looks like Orville Fuentes has been cut.
Fuentes misses with a takedown attempt - Devinson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Devinson let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fuentes tries to close the distance and clinch but Devinson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Fuentes could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Devinson clinches with his opponent.
Fuentes has had enough of the clinch but Devinson keeps him there for the moment.

Devinson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Devinson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fuentes throws a quick counter head kick but Devinson was just out of range.
Devinson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Fuentes takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Devinson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Devinson keeps control of Fuentes as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Devinson breaks the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Devinson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Fuentes pulls guard successfully.
Fuentes is trying to control the position but Devinson postures up.
Devinson passes into half guard.
Devinson keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Devinson is looking to advance position but Fuentes won't allow it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Devinson in particular looking to stall.
Devinson works his way into side control.
Fuentes might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Fuentes wants to control but Devinson postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Devinson creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Devinson cracks Fuentes with a big right hand but Fuentes just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Devinson working the body and head with strikes.


Fuentes is rocked!
Devinson scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Fuentes is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Devinson can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
