Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Martti Molski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Ruden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Martti Molski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joe Ruden! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Molski misses with an uppercut
and Ruden counters with a nice leg kick. Ruden walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Molski checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. A telegraphed right hand from Ruden misses the target. Ruden goes for a high kick. It partially lands. We've been told by Molski's head coaches at Heart Cave (8 elites, 4 double-elites, 1 triple) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Molski looks to score with a jab to the body but Ruden is just out of range. Ruden throws the kick towards the body but Molski avoids it. Ruden misses with an uppercut. Molski misses with a body shot
and Ruden counters with a nice body shot. Ruden scores with a crisp jab that stopped Molski in his tracks. Ruden swats away the attempt to clinch by Molski. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Molski bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Ruden has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Molski looks to land a left hand but Ruden moved out of range nicely. Ruden fails with the takedown. A low kick from Ruden misses enabling Molski to counter with a crisp jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruden tests Molski's chin there with a solid looking shot. Molski has Ruden up against the cage in a clinch.
Ruden has had enough of the clinch but Molski keeps him there for the moment. Molski misses with a hook from the clinch. Molski letting Ruden take a breather here. Molski doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Molski lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Ruden blocks an uppercut.
Molski is trying to maintain a safe position but Ruden gets an underhook and turns Molski into the cage. Molski holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Molski pushes Ruden back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Ruden stuns Molski with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Ruden decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ruden throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ruden prevents Molski from improving his position. Molski has his hands clasped together around Ruden's back. He's all about the action. Ruden has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Molski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ruden working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Molski tries to roll over but Ruden keeps him under control.

Ruden is thwarting Molski's attempts to control the position. Molski on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Molski wants to improve his position but Ruden is controlling well.

Molski is staying active underneath Ruden, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Ruden throwing shots but Molski is blocking nicely. Ruden is thwarting Molski's attempts to control the position. Ruden working Molski over with strikes. Ruden seems to be working for a kimura but Molski defends the submission attempt. Ruden is taking a breather. Molski says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Molski looking for submissions off his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ruden tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Molski takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Molski uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ruden.
Ruden on the wrong end of a nice jab. Joe Ruden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ruden takes a swing at Molski's ribcage but misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ruden drops his hands momentarily and Molski takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Molski on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Molski tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ruden paws at him with a jab and circles away. Molski throws a low kick but it's checked well by Ruden. Ruden misses with a lunging right hand
and Molski counters with a nice low kick that buckles Ruden's knee momentarily. Ruden throws an off balance right hand
and Ruden takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ruden lands a nice hook to Molski's body. Molski takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Ruden chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Ruden shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ruden showed some decent athleticism there. Molski is looking to control Ruden's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Molski avoid being mounted? The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Molski is trying to get back to full guard.
