Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Edwin Elpidio! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Warren Roberts! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roberts tries to clinch there but Elpidio circles away.
Elpidio throws a big counter combination but Roberts scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Roberts looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Roberts shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Elpidio counters with a stiff right hand. Roberts staying out of range there. Elpidio cracks Roberts with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Elpidio has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Roberts to stand back up!
It looks like Warren Roberts has been cut. Elpidio sends Roberts crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Elpidio is motioning to the referee to let Roberts up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Roberts is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Elpidio drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Roberts's head, knocking him out cold! Elpidio is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Edwin Elpidio! Our winner, Edwin Elpidio, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
